Leslie Glustrom

Climate Change Expert

Leslie Glustrom is a biochemist by training. She has worked extensively on public lands issues and in 1996 she was named one of the top 10 defenders of the public lands by the Wilderness Society. In 2004, Leslie resigned her job running a biochemistry research lab in order to work full time on climate change issues. Her goal is to accelerate the transition from a fossil fuel based economy to one based on clean, renewable energy.

Jennifer Thompson

Jennifer started her career in film and video fifteen years ago as the post-production coordinator for the documentary From Hollywood to Hanoi, which screened at Sundance, Telluride and aired on Cinemax. In 1994, Jennifer was an assistant producer for the ITVS series A Question of Equality directed by Arthur Dong and Isaac Julian. Then Jennifer started working at Maysles Films in New York City and produced several shorts, including Hearteater, a PSA written by Alice Walker and filmed by Albert Maysles.

Michael Dorsey

Dr. Michael Dorsey is an Assistant Professor in Dartmouth College's Faculty of Science (Hanover, New Hampshire). Dr. Dorsey teaches in the Environmental Studies Program with Professor Jones. Dorsey is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment; Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the University of Michigan Dept of Anthropology, from which received his PhD.

Judith Ikle

Judith Iklé is a Program Manager in the Procurement, Renewables and Climate Strategy Branch of the Energy Division at the California Public Utilities Commission. This branch includes electric procurement and resource adequacy, the Renewable Portfolio Standards program, distributed generation, and the California Solar Initiative. Prior to this position, she served as Supervisor of the Federal Electric Section and as a Senior Analyst on the environmental review team. Before joining the Commission, Ms. Iklé was a policy analyst with the U.S. EPA in the Climate Policy & Programs Division.

Alison Burchell is a professional geologist with a dual B.S. in Chemistry and Environmental Planning, an M.S. in Tectonics and Isotope Geochemistry and certifications in GIS and Remote Sensing. Following a Fellowship with the U.S. Dept. of Interior and US Geological Survey, she established a private consulting practice on issues including: crustal processes, reef and wetland preservation, land-reclamation, siting analysis for renewable energy projects and stakeholder facilitation; and research includes quantifying the mechanisms and kinetics of terrestrial sequestration.

She then spent many years working as an executive and motion picture producer for director Sydney Pollack’s Mirage Enterprises. She then partnered with Jodie Foster in the formation of Foster’s Egg Pictures. Her films include “Washington Square,” starring Jennifer Jason Leigh; “G.I.
