"America's Moment and the Transformation of our Global, 21st Century World" explores the current transformations underway in America, including in energy, demographics, and politics. Leyden gave this talk at the Apple headquarters in Silicon Valley to staff members who were genuinely interested in how these shifts are beginning to affect the technology business, and what they could mean for the future.

This talk discusses how the current paradigm shift in technology is affecting fundamental and historical change in American politics. Given right before the presidential election in 2008, this talk details how Obama was taking advantage of breakthroughs in new technologies, including social media and bottom-up new media production, to fuel his campaign. Leyden gave this talk to Youtube staff members, who were interested in hearing about how their organization could take further advantage of the paradigm shifts currently underway in America.
