Dr. Stephen H. Schneider is the Melvin and Joan Lane Professor for Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies, Professor of Biological Sciences, Professor (by courtesy) of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and a Senior Fellow in the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University. Dr. Schneider received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Plasma Physics from Columbia University in 1971. He studied the role of greenhouse gases and suspended particulate material on climate as a postdoctoral fellow at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
As leaders who in the 1960s and 1970s helped shape the modern environmental movement, in government service, and as advisors to industry, governments and the public interest, Joe Browder and his partner Louise Dunlap have contributed to strategies that influence the relationship of business, technology and markets to environmental protection and social responsibility. Louise Dunlap, the first woman CEO of a major national U.S. environmental organization and a key strategist in behalf of energy efficiency, joined the firm in 1986.

Clint Wilder, contributing editor for Clean Edge, is an award-winning technology and business journalist. His book The Clean Tech Revolution (with co-author Ron Pernick) published by Collins in June 2007, has been called “the best clean tech book” by ClimateProgress.org and is being translated into five languages. Wilder is a frequent speaker at industry events and writes a blog on clean tech for the business section of The Huffington Post.
Mr. Payne leads REgrid Power’s Commercial Business Development Division, based in Campbell and serving Northern and Central California. Mr. Payne has over 10 years experience in strategic planning, program development and product roadmaps. Prior to joining REgrid Power, Mr Payne worked in program management, product development and business development at KLA-Tencor. Mr. Payne holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, Ontario.
Gil Friend is the author of The Truth About Green Business (FT Press) and the forthcoming Profit on Purpose: Risk, Fiduciary Duty and the Laws of Nature. He is a founding board member of the Sustainable Business Alliance, Sustainable Berkeley, and the California Sustainable Business Council and serves on the executive board of OpenEco.org and the advisory boards of CleanFish, WattBot, Green World Campaign, and (past) San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Clean Tech Advisory Council. Friend served in the California Governor’s Office, developing early sustainability policies and programs.

Dr. Irving Mintzer is an internationally recognized expert on the impacts of energy technologies and climate change on human societies and natural ecosystems. A consultant to transnational corporations as well as multilateral financial institutions, Irving recently completed a review of worldwide private sector investment activity in clean energy technologies and energy efficiency systems for the Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Pierre leads the definition and implementation of environmental sustainability strategies across HP, from the company’s internal operations and supply chain, to its products, services and solutions. After an early career as a management consultant, Pierre joined HP in 1999 in France where he held several program management positions in IT and business operations. He moved to California in 2004 to manage corporate marketing programs.
